SHONNIKA DENISE

Hello there! I am Shonnika Denise, owner and creator of Synergy Sweets.

Food has always been the center of my family gatherings and is always connected to good memories. It would be during this time that I would feel happiest and most fulfilled.

In 2013, I made the decision to enroll in the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. There I found my passion for baking and discovered the possibilities available to me in the culinary world. I fell in love with the idea of creating something that serves as comfort or a source of happiness for others. Nobody is ever sad while eating dessert, right?

Upon graduating in 2015 I joined the culinary industry, working in various capacities from pastry chef to custom decorator. I enjoyed being able to create in the ways that these jobs allowed me, but I wanted more. I wanted to take control of the creative process involved with each new pastry. Most of all, I wanted the freedom to explore mixing flavors and textures, all on my own and on my own terms. Thus, Synergy Sweets was born.
